inkd tattoo festival
INKD Tattoo Festival is a conceptual tattoo festival set in Milan, Italy. The visual identity uses a monochrome black, white, and gray palette inspired by classic tattoo artistry. INKD’s primary logo utilizes a classic blackletter typeface, a font heavily used in lettering tattoos. I took a more illustrative approach with the secondary logo for merchandising purposes and to give the logos variety.

INKD’s posters feature a tattooed statue as the central visual element, with each tattoo hand-illustrated with a variety of tattoo styles. Working within a monochrome color palette, I focused on achieving a strong composition that balances the logo, graphic elements, and typography. Both posters are designed as color inversions of one another to reinforce the monochrome palette while allowing variety.
The tickets and day passes use the same color inversion as the posters to keep the visual system consistent, while the wristbands feature inkd’s secondary, illustrative logo for added variety.
